I just finished Babysitting Love, and oh my goodness! This story. It's too short! I need more! I give it 4.5 stars.This story is the definition of instalove. Fast instalove that is all-consuming and looks a little crazy at moments. Nonetheless, I ate it up because I'm a sucker for a romance with a sweet, single dad who is so devoted the way Liam is to Whitney. I'll take that devotion any day of the week. Given that this is JL Beck, I knew to expect fast instalove, so be prepared for it. If you can get past that, I think you'll like it. I know I did. Liam is a little over the top, but I forgive him for it over and over again because of what he says to Whitney. He is alpha, but he is sweet. So sweet. And I'll gobble up that sweetness all day, every day.
Other than that, I'll mention again is that this is a novella, and a short novella at that. Things progress quickly, and the story is light on plot. That being said, if you're looking for a quick, steamy, fun read, you should check out Babysitting Love. A loving father like Liam is hard to pass on. This story has all the hotness you expect from JL Beck, and I ate it up. Especially the scene involving nutella. It'll never be the same for me, and I'm betting you'll feel similarly.
I think the thing I disliked most about this story (besides it being too short), was actually with regard to nutella. Nutella is hazelnut spread, not peanut butter. That I had to ignore to enjoy it fully. I also received an unedited advanced reader copy, so my copy had grammar errors, and I'm hoping that the nutella bit is fixed so everyone else can appreciate it fully.
Anyways, I really enjoyed the story, and recommend it. Unless you don't like serious instalove and over the top males, and just over the top sweet stories. Then you should look elsewhere. But even so, try it anyway. It's great and sweet.

I'm a big fan of Mrs. Beck's but Babysitting Love fell short for me.
Liam and Whitney are neighbors who both eye each other secretly. Liam puts an ad in for a full time nanny in hopes Whitney
will answer the ad. Whitney is a newly graduated student with a major in Childhood Development and is looking for a job.
She sees Liam's ad (not knowing at the time it's for Liam's baby) and applies. When he answers back is when she finds out it's him.
She of course gets the job and they start a relationship.
I know it's an instalove story but that wasn't the problem for me.
The problem for me was on their first day of interaction they are talking
about having babies together asap. I found that not realistic at all. There maybe instalove there definitely is instalust but I find it very unlikely that without fully knowing another person and already having a child involved anyone would decide yes let's have a baby now. To me maybe too much was squeezed into this short story and that's why it didn't connect with me.

Babysitting Love is definitely not your normal babysitter falls for single dad book. Oh no Josi made her play in this book!!! HOT Single Dad (Liam) put out an ad for a babysitter with the only intention of answering to his neighbor's (Whitney) response. Whitney sees Liam's ad and answers it, boy oh boy did thing turn out very different than I expected!!!! Throw in a ex girlfriend and some crappy parents and siblings and this book just got better and better!
Will Liam be able to keep Whitney?
Will Whitney decide Liam and baby Emery are worth sticking around for when the drama begins?
Will Liam and Whitney make it through her family's dinner or will they crash and burn?
This is a very unrealistic short story. The writing style was good. Let's see, where to begin.
Whitney had just graduated from college, but already had a house in a nice neighborhood. There was no mention of a trust fund and she was unemployed.
Liam was a successful businessman who had recently adopted a little girl. He apparently worked from home because he had his daughter on a tight schedule and had no help. He placed an ad for a live in nanny, but really wanted a mother for his daughter. He had eyes on his neighbor, Whitney and hoped she would magically apply to his ad.
Miraculously Whitney sees the ad and applies, even after finding out it is her hot neighbor that she lusts after. During the so-called interview, Liam makes a pass at her and she falls for him. No questions asked.
Somehow we are expected to believe a smart, independent woman would immediately fall in lust with her neighbor and his daughter, take the job as his nanny despite warning from her sister, and beg him to impregnate her before she even knows anything about him.
The idea was cute, but it just doesn't work. Things moves to far too fast and they never even got to know each other to see if they were compatible. They operated off of pure lust and the fact that Whitney was good with kids. Not very believable.
