This is awesome to read about some of the same roads that I still travel daily!! My cousin turned me on to this and loves you dearly! Angela KeenThe Smugglers High: A story of a young man's enduring struggle for truth because of a family secret of a mother he never knew he had, as well as a foreign born father whom he anticipated curiously to get to know. The opening of the story captured my imagination about his younger years of bad choices and the chapters in his life that played out perfectly such as his biological father coming to his rescue at that moment only to take a turn for the worst , repayment. a lesson that everything comes with a price. I felt a sense of sorrow for the biological mother because even her anticipation of her dreams evidently never came true. The action packed smuggling of drugs , entailed murder, secrets, betrayal at best will make you feel like you're on the edge of your seat. Only to figure out that in the end, that family ,whether direct blood or not is what matters. The undying love of family and the Love of God is always the key to true happiness, happiness that money cant buy. This story has a powerful setting and the conflicts he endures will appeal to the imagination in an intoxicating kind of way. I honestly think it would make for a great movie. Life is about choices , and some are not our choice to make but every choice has an effect in one way or another. T.Y. Weaver
